Gripple hangers can be used with electrical containment systems from any angle and can be attached at virtually any point. The weight of the cable should be built into the calculation to determine the correct size of Gripple required.
During installation, unwanted movement along the runner lengths can be prevented while the cable is being loaded by securing additional Gripple hanger assemblies horizontally to a wall, or available steel work structure. This provides rigid stability.

Bay Lighting & Luminaries
combining strength with discreet appearance
Gripple hangers are ideal for suspending all types of light fittings. Below is a selection of these fittings and the methods used to suspend them. The Gripple hanger is less obvious to the eye than the electrical cable.
high/low bay lighting
Fitting high and low bay lights is up to six times quicker using Gripple hangers.
The method of attachment to the top of the light varies depending on the manufacturer. Gripple hangers can be attached to virtually all types due to the range of accessories available and the inherent flexibility of the system.

strip lighting
There are a variety of Gripple hanger products which are suitable for suspending strip lights. All of these are much faster than the usual methods and in virtually all cases, the look of the finished suspension is greatly improved. |

Luminaires are often manufactured with a 6mm hole present, making it a simple process to suspend
these fittings using the toggle fixing hanger. This method is suitable for both main supports and safety lines when required. |

Busbar
fixings and accessories to suit all types
Hanging busbar is an ideal application for the Gripple solution. The inherent advantages that Gripple hangers provide are speed, adjustability and efficient cost savings. Also, as the Gripple system provides a full range of safe working load limits from 10kg to 325kg, there is a size to fit any type of busbar system.
busbar brackets
The easiest way to suspend most busbar is to utilise the standard bracket supplied with it. This bracket will have a fixing point which will allow either a threaded adaptor(shown here on the right) or pigtail anchor bolt to be fitted to it.
It is then a simple process to attach the Gripple hanger directly onto this anchor. |

heavy duty busbar
The example to the left is part of a grid system where 3,000m of heavy duty busbar were suspended using Gripple hangers. In this case the top end was secured around roof purlins using loop fixings. The time saving for this application was 9 days! |
light duty busbar
The photo on the right shows a Gripple No 2 hanger supporting light duty busbar. The electrical contractor utilised the supplied hanging bracket without using any further fixings, such as eyebolts. By doing this, they were able to save significant time and money on the installation. |
